Engineering North America (NA) comprises a skilled team of Design
Managers, Program Managers, and guide in Engineering and
Architecture. Our collective expertise is harnessed to create
customized adaptations of the cutting-edge Vantage Data Center
prototype that perfectly cater to the unique requirements of our
customers. Throughout this process, close collaboration takes place
with Sales, Operations, and management teams. The Design
Engineering team also maintains a close partnership with the
Construction team, working together to craft a seamlessly
integrated design that ensures the efficient execution of new and
existing standards and designs.At the heart of our vision is the

decisions and achieve significant results.OverviewThe BIM (Building
Information Modeling) Manager, NA will report directly to the
Senior Director, Design Strategy. The BIM Manager, NA role is to
understand and communicate how BIM will effect project workflows,
deliverables and project management throughout Vantage Data
Centers. The primary responsibility is to lead and coordinate BIM
standards implementation and enforcement on all related BIM
projects, files, and models.The BIM Manager, NA will work closely
with the BIM Manager, Global and the wider international innovation
and design engineering department as well as the local project
management team(s) to support the adoption of digital technologies
and methodologies at Vantage Data Centers through activities in
line with the global BIM strategy.To be successful in this role,
one must thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy leading
strategic efforts to constantly and consistently improve the
program performance, and have experience in BIM Management.In
keeping with Vantage Data Center's values, the BIM Manager, NA will
interact with various business units in building a positive digital
environment.Essential Job Functions
- Present, participate, and lead cross functional company
initiatives to drive the long-term vision
- Liaise with both internal and external clients to ascertain or
define project BIM and digital information requirements
- Work closely with the design manager to support successful
delivery of the digital aspects of the project from conception to
completion
- Enable effective and clear implementation of OneDesign
standards, specifications, templates, and prototypes through
centralization of documentation libraries
- Ensure that the project team deliver an appropriate and useable
Asset Information Model (AIM) and Project Information Model (PIM)
at the end of the project
- Support the management of software packages including advising
on when to upgrade to new versions and the need for software
customization
- Support the management and implementation of Common Data
Environments on Data Center projects
- Awareness and understanding of the ISO 19650 suite of documents
and processes
- Contribute to Vantage Data Centers BIM standards development
and implementation
- Provide project model and data auditing, quality control, and
assess adherence to standards of all Vantage Data Centers received
deliverables throughout the lifecycle.
- Identify trends and business opportunities relating to BIM
- Be involved in internal awareness training on BIM processes and
new technologies
- Maintain competency of relevant software through continued use
and training
- Maintain and develop good awareness of relevant developments in
the industry and disseminate that back to teams and individuals
within the businessDuties
- Develop project digital strategies working with the design
manager and other disciplines leads
- Ensure disciplines are sharing information through a
controlled, ISO 19650-compliant process and using each other's
information effectively in a BIM environment
- Ensure LOD, LOIN, Classification systems and COBie data, as per
project-specific requirements
- Working with the team to constantly review progress and report
on successes and failures so that continual improvement can be
realized
- Work closely with project designers and engineers to ensure
that full collaboration is reached in order to achieve the required
scope of works and hit key project dates
- Chip in to developing automated workflows to support Vantage
Data Centers standards and increase
productivity/digitalization
- An important aspect of the role is to be able to work in a
common data environment continuously showing development within a
project by using online platforms such as BIM 360 / Autodesk
Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Support general and project-specific training specific to VDC
standard and practices to internal and external team members on
processes, tools, and project requirements
- Identify new, innovative, and emerging technologies to assist
in the development process, specifically as it pertains to the
virtual design and construction environment
- Facilitate virtual walkthroughs on an as needed basis
- Participate in all project-specific BIM Coordination meetings
as VDC representativeQualifications
- Minimum 7-10 years overall work experience preferred
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership level role
- Experience in the design, construction and delivery of data
centers and infrastructure projects is highly desirable
- Experience in leading the BIM and digital information element
of multi-disciplinary projects
- Sound knowledge of ISO 19650 and COBie
- Knowledge of and confirmed practical background in Autodesk
Revit, BIM 360/ACC, SharePoint, Dynamo, Python, and related
Building Information Modeling software & tools
- Experience of working with Common Data Environments
- Experience and understanding of leading teams to deliver
project data to industry standards
- An aim to pursue continued education on BIM and related
technologies
- Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver
effective training and provide ongoing education and technological
support to project teams
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to build,
cultivate and leverage personal and professional networks and
relationships, develop, and deliver successful presentations, and
collaborate and negotiate effectively
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, complex start-up and/or
entrepreneurial environment
- Enjoy working in a fluid, dynamic organization with a minimal
amount of direction
- Ability to use time productively and work efficiently to
achieve team/project goals
- Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as
well as resolve and lead priorities
- National and international travel required is expected to be
between 5% and 10% but may vary over time as the business
evolvesAdditional Details
- Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 Base + Bonus (this range is
based on Colorado and California market data and may vary in other
locations)
